My Palm Springs Favorites

Everyone has that one place they love to make their getaway. Now Palm Springs is what I like to call my ‘local getaway’. Living in southern California, I am blessed with being constantly surrounded by things to do, and new places to explore, Palm Springs happens to be one on my list. However, over the course of my living in Southern California, I have visited this growing city many times, and I wanted to share some of my Palm Springs Gems:

La Quinta ResorT, Palm Springs

I celebrated my birthday one year at this beautiful resort located in La Quinta in south Palm Springs. Tucked into the mountains, this resort has to be one of my favorites. Between the amazing views, food, and things to do, I don’t think I even felt the need to leave the resort for my entire stay. Being the active person I am, my favorite part of this resort was the morning yoga and HIIT workout classes they offered, along with their yoga and meditation classes. While this resort defiantly had nightlife, it also doubled as a spa retreat, which was a feature that my friends and I enjoyed the most.

Chula Artisan Eatery

The last time I was out in the Palm Springs area, my boyfriend and I came across this little lunch and breakfast spot and absolutely adored the environment and food. This restaurant is inspired by chef and owner Katherine Gonzalez’s Spanish heritage. By far, our favorite dishes were the Huevos Rancheros and the Chilaquiles. Their food is always so fresh and perfectly balanced. After eating here once there is no way we won’t stop in each visit we take out to the dessert!

INDIAN Wells tennis tournament

One of the most memorable experiences I had in the desert was attending the annual Indian Wells, BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament. This is the second-largest tennis tournament that takes place in the US and the Americas, with the US Open held in New York being the largest. We stayed a total of three days in Palm Springs and watched several matches that we bought tickets in advance for. It turned out to be quite a relaxed trip, as our tickets allowed us access in and out of the stadiums, allowing us time to walk around and view some practice matches taking place of some top-level players. It was easier than expected to enter and exit the Indian Wells tennis gardens for lunch and dinner, as we were seeing multiple matches in one day. I would one hundred percent recommend purchasing Indian Wells tickets for 2024, as this was such a memorable experience being able to see the top players around the world play.

NObu at indian wells

This was my first time eating at a Nobu, and they did not disappoint. During our second day at Indian Wells, we decided to eat at the famous Nobu. While it is on the pricier side, their food was absolutely magnificent. From the appetizers all the way to the dessert, they did not disappoint. If you are looking to spend a romantic evening meal at a restaurant here in Palm Springs, I would definitely recommend giving Nobu a try.

The saguaro

In July of last year, I spent a girls’ trip out in Palm Springs and stayed at this hotel for the 3 nights we spent in the desert. If you are also located in Southern California and are planning a summer vacation, you MUST put this place on your bucket list! This is easily one of the most unique hotels I have ever stayed in and has just about everything you need, from a restaurant and wine bar, a pool and DJ, and a outdoor and indoor lounge area.
